The Olympic Games are the world’s most famous athletic competition, and. Over 200 Nations participate in this event. The Olympics is organised one time in 4 years. The Olympic games began in ancient Greece at Olympia. The Olympic logo consists of five different rings that represent the unity of the five continents, which are America, Africa, Asia, Australia and Europe.
The first modern Olympics was organised in 1896. The Olympic Games 2020 were played in Tokyo, but it was postponed during the pandemic situation COVID-19, and was rescheduled in 2021 from 23rd July to 28th August. India shows very energetic movement in the Olympic Games 2021. Eleven thousand six hundred fifty-six athletes participated. The United States ranked higher and won 113 medals with 39 gold. China and Japan, ranked second position and third position, won a total of 88 (38 gold) and 58 (27 gold ). Our country, India, got 48th rank with 7 medals, including one gold. Wrestler Bajrang Punia won the bronze medal, badminton player PV Sindhu won a bronze medal in women’s singles badminton, wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya won the silver medal, and Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal in javelin throw. All of these stars make India proud.
